This was my favourite book as a child and it has never really slipped from that special spot in the world of my mind. I thought the film adaptation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was quite disappointing, and have heard better of Prince Caspian but haven't seen it. I am torn whether to be excited about this one or not. I think I look forward to it, despite the perils involved.

It might end up being horrible, but I'm excited to see it.
Yeah, kind of like it is exciting to see it reprinted with a new cover on a bookshelf.
I sort of worry that even if it is good it ruins the book, but I don't think so. I can remember the experience of reading the Lord of the Rings separate from the film.
One can wish the films did certain things better, and be upset that the Wardrobe was so unfaithfully and improperly rendered on film . . . but it is still worth the effort, and didn't "ruin" the book for me. (Returning to the book after seeing the film was a breath of fresh air actually.)
Having said all that, even if Dawn Treader is a wonderful adventure film, which I hope it is, it will end up being too bad about all the CGI. Certainly you need some. But I fear it will be over the top. Oh I wish film makers could be more creative.
I am excited to see it though, in a ready-to-be-disappointed kind of way.
I didn't read the books, so help me out here....
Are the same whiny kids from the first two movies gonna be in this one? Particularily the youngest girl....I don't think I could stand to watch anything with her cast in it.
The two younger kids are in it. Hopefully better performed and written.
